It’s a quiet Wednesday night. Sara is out Production Managing the shit outta Melbourne Fringe and I’m home cooking the most incongrously named meal I could find on epicurious; the rather tasty ‘Country Captain Chicken‘, or as I like to call it ‘the almighty triple C’. That name brings up delightful images of picnics and KFC and uhh… Captains.
The recipe is actually for a chicken curry with apples and currants and is very good. I only really cooked it the first time because currants remind me of being a kid and eating the straight off the bush in the backyard.
Friday is my last day at my current job. It’s been a nice place to work; its close enough to ride to and they feed me lunch everyday. It leaves me with a slightly awkward 6 weeks to fill however. I was kinda hoping they could find another project to work on. Though I’m pretty sure the lovely people at Slade Group will find me some more work pretty quick.
Sara and I are also off to Adelaide for the weekend as Franny has just returned from a 6 week european vacation and it will probably be the last chance i get to see her before I return to Canada. Should be a nice, relaxing weekend.
